Peeps Easter Crafts: Taking Candy to the Next Level

No matter how you feel about the taste of Peeps, there's no denying that they make for super sweet Easter crafts.

Few people love Peeps so much that they want to devour them fresh, stale and in enormous quantities. Yes, I'm one of those people. But for the rest of you, I rounded up these tasty crafts that make even better use of the sugar-y marshmallow treats. Whether you want to spend your Easter crafting with your family or the days after doing something creative with those leftover Peeps, these projects should keep you busy -- and your home downright festive.

Easter Craft #1: A Sugar-Sweet Wreath
First off -- a wreath that's bright, cherry and basically guaranteed to make guests smile. Gerbera Designs has the step-by-step for this simple project that makes excellent use of toothpicks and a straw wreath.

Easter Craft #2: Tasty Placecards
Still have leftover toothpicks? Use them as an excuse to get Peeps on the table...pre-dessert. These beauties elevate a normal placecard from a simple tabletop accent to the main event. Head to Store and Style for full tutorial.

Easter Craft #3: A Cheeky Vase
You can't beat fresh flowers...except for when you complement them with some cute bunny faces. Between the electric-colored dye and copious amount of sugar, Peeps are basically the opposite of organic so they definitely add a shocking element to an otherwise serene arrangement. Mommy Savers has the full instructions so you can bring this look home.

Easter Craft #4: "Floral" Centerpiece
No time to pick up flowers before guests arrive? Build one. And give it a nutritious place to grow. Like, uh, jelly beans. If you're going to put this in the center of your Easter table, be prepared for little hands to grab a taste. Hey, no sense in everything being too perfect, right? Get the step-by-step at The Hungry Mouse.

Easter Craft #5: Peep Pops
We left in one edible craft -- though you might think these are too cute to scarf down. We love that the vanilla cover makes these Peeps look totally demure. Who knew they could look so chic when covered up? Get the full scoop at Sugar Swings and then make your own versions in every color combo imaginable.

Easter Craft #5: Hilarious Artwork
Why shouldn't your day-old candy qualify as art? This project cracks me up...and is hugely intriguing. What happened to the lone, bitten Peep? And why are the other Peeps standing there so innocently? Choose to Thrive tells you how it's done.
